The eighth refinery of the massive South Pars Gas Complex, located in Assaluyeh on the Persian Gulf coast, has commenced a major overhaul operation that is expected to last several weeks. According to Alireza Ebadi, the refinery's director, more than 250,000 man-hours of work have been scheduled for this comprehensive maintenance project. The South Pars Gas Complex is a crucial component of Iran's energy infrastructure, responsible for processing a significant portion of the country's natural gas reserves from the South Pars field, which is shared with Qatar. The complex consists of numerous refineries and processing facilities, with the eighth refinery being one of the largest and most important.
