According to the head of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), Iran has achieved a remarkable milestone in its efforts to revitalize the country's mining sector. In the past Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20, 2025, nearly 600 mines were restored or expanded, setting a new record for the highest annual performance since the launch of Iran's small-scale mining revitalization program. This achievement highlights the government's commitment to boosting the mining industry and promoting economic growth. The revitalization of these mines is expected to create new job opportunities, increase mineral production, and contribute to the overall development of the country's industrial sector. The IMIDRO head emphasized that this accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the mining workforce, as well as the effective implementation of government policies and initiatives aimed at supporting the mining industry.
